The challenge
Modernizing a system that has become obsolete and expensive
Since its creation, S2E has built and maintained a common employee savings management platform for its account-holding shareholders. The backoffice is powered by a specific software package based on Siebel. For several years, S2E had been publishing web portals for employee savings account holders.
Now obsolete, costly to maintain and time-consuming to develop, employee web portals were no longer compatible with new browsers and were struggling to satisfy account holders and employees.
S2E's technical team decided to change the technological base of these portals with a modern and scalable solution that would allow them to be more responsive to the demands of account holders and regulations.
Why eXo?
A robust and flexible solution
The specifications emphasized the ability to easily modify and publish content. A domain where eXo Platform offered great flexibility.
In addition, since S2E publishes more than six different portals, the possibility of respecting the graphic charters of each one while sharing the software base was perfectly in line with a multi-tenant platform like eXo's.
Finally, eXo offered a local presence that allowed S2E to mobilize its expertise at all key stages of the project.
Implementation
A complex but successful reengineering project
In 2013, after several months of redesign, the new Web-Salariés system was born.
The system offers a suite of personalized portals that allow employees from many different companies to consult their savings accounts and perform routine transactions such as payments or requests for early repayment.
Account managers can run seasonal campaigns based on sophisticated content publishing orchestrated by a rules engine.
Finally, the system is redundant to ensure high availability even during peak loads and update operations.
