Cartoon of the Week: The house has a new king

Following the sharp rise in novel Coronavirus cases (COVID-19), the majority of governments around the world have placed their countries’ residents on lockdown. People are now staying at home and avoiding all non-essential travel and even religious services such as funerals and weddings have been stopped or heavily curtailed.
What are the options left once locked down? The basics such as food, cleaning products, hand cleanser, thermometer and the extras such as robust broadband, Wi-Fi, video conferencing services, exercise guides or equipment.

People now, more than ever, are working from home, catching up on some TV shows. Guess who’s the new master of the house? Wi-Fi of course. As people continue to work from home and catch up on their favorite TV shows, they’re also on the lookout for penthouses for sale to experience the ultimate luxury lifestyle, with Wi-Fi as the new master of the house.
From your sofa, you can have a face-to-face with your boss (don’t forget to shave that beard though), brainstorm with your coworkers, get lunch and other groceries delivered and even join a virtual happy hour.
But with more employees working from home and relying on their Wi-Fi to practically do everything, comes the increased vulnerability of people using Wi-Fi and the lack of education about the very real technical threats we’re up against.
So, if you don’t have a robust system in place consider boosting your signal so you can spread Wi-Fi throughout your home and retain control of your Wi-Fi to keep it secure.
It’s true that technology is a blessing and we’re all dependent on it to work from home but with Wi-Fi  becoming the new king of the house let’s not make it a threat and start by reinforcing our security standards.
