New tutorials for file viewer, dialog validator, activity composer, and eXo caches – all ready!
In this deployment, we are pleased to summarize the significant updates for those who want to customize eXo Platform in various aspects.
Let’s start with a series of new tutorials in the Developer Guide:
- File viewer – Based on this blog of Thomas Delhoménie, we documented a new tutorial to create and to use a file viewer in eXo Platform 4. With the code sample, you can easily write a Zip viewer that explores content in a .zip archive so that users don’t need to download it to preview the content.
- Dialog validator – If you want to add validation rules on any field in a content template, this guide is for you. Following this, you are able to write your own validator into a .jar file and then apply it to the fields.
- Activity composer– Have you ever found it difficult to write an activity composer because the old tutorial is outdated? In this new one, it is much easier with examined code sample.
Last but not least, the Cache configuration in Administrator Guide has been updated. We would like to give full information on cache usage in all eXo modules. Many thanks to the engineering teams for helping us in this regard.
And for next deployment of https://docs.exoplatform.org/, we are working on SPNEGO, OpenAM, a list of events that developers should know about and LDAP integration, and more interesting content.
Once again, your feedback feeds our motivation, so don’t hesitate to raise your voice!
