[New Release] eXo PC 2.1 released
This is an eXoPlatform Portlet Container (PC) version 2.1 released
eXo PC project contains:
- Implementation of Portlet Specification 2.0 a.k.a JSR-286 which extends JSR-168
- Implementation of OASIS Web Services for Remote Portlets (WSRP) version 1 and v2
- Portlet bridges for third-party Web frameworks such as Struts, Java Server Faces, Webworks ans other
- Other helpful portal utilities/frameworks for portlet integration and testing
Releasing of eXo PC 2.1 finalizes the big work on WSRP engine rewriting and includes:
- JAX-WS based WSRP engine for both version 1 and 2. This completely renewed service uses JavaTM API for XML-Based Web Services (JAX-WS) annotations thanks to eXo WS.
- JCR based WSRP persistence service allows avoid using old JDBC based one, so almost all eXo services uses eXo JCR as back storage building full eXo components stack (from storage to UI)
- WSRP administration interface allowing remote management of the WSRP service configuration
- Improved Administration portlet allowing simply administer remote portlets including such advanced features as: choosing producer version, “temporary” producer creation, detailed information about registered producers and portlets and other
