Happy Employee Appreciation Day: positive vibes only

In the midst of the heightened concern regarding the Coronavirus, we thought it would be a great idea to address a more positive topic in this week’s cartoon, which is Employee Appreciation Day.

You work with one of the best teams around, they work hard for you and you’re trying to figure out ways to work remotely to limit COVID-19 global spread while managing to stay focused and productive.

You shouldn’t forget, though, to show recognition and appreciation to your employees. A little workplace appreciation goes a long way towards boosting morale and helps spread positive energy and good vibes, especially in such difficult circumstances.

Employee Appreciation Day is often seen as an employer branding day, where you can showcase your company’s culture, share some photos from the party you threw and demonstrate how fun it is to work for your company.

Some businesses show appreciation more often, however, and even make it a priority to give tokens of appreciation all year round, such as better benefits, kudos, gamification programmes and higher pay.

Whether it’s Employee Appreciation Day or any other day, don’t limit your gratitude to one day. You can’t go wrong with constantly rewarding your team for their hard work
