Cartoon of the Week: Happy e-celebrations

As we’re entering the second month in lockdown, a lot of us are getting used to celebrating holidays via screens for the first time of our lives.

Even though we’re trying to come up with creative ways to keep the celebrations going, the atmosphere is different with everybody self-isolating at home.

But thanks to technology we have the chance to discover and learn many new skills such as cooking, painting, even a new language

We can also visit museums virtually, watch shows online, organise virtual house parties via apps with friends and get nostalgic about the days when we were able to go out whenever it pleased us.

“We have to respond to our confinement with all our creativity,” Pope Francis said in an interview published by several newspapers this week. “We can either get depressed and alienated… or we can get creative.”

Let’s just hope that these limitations to our freedom will come to an end soon while trying to creatively celebrate the holidays.
