I/O 2017: What will Google bring us this year?
The keynote for Google’s annual developer conference, I/O 2017, took place on 17 May in Mountain View, California, coming on the heels of a number of other big tech events, such as Microsoft Build, which was held last week, and Facebook F8, which took place last month.
The company’s CEO, Sundar Pichai, announced many new features in front of thousands of developers, revealing Google’s future roadmap. During this three-day conference, Google will announce information about what it is doing and what it wants to do for developers at I/O.
If we take a closer look, we can see that the company has its hands in every exciting advancement related to artificial intelligence (AI).
We can’t deny that Google is trying to stay at the forefront of the field through the products it has announced at I/O 2017. According to the Verge, Sundar even pointed out that his company’s future depends on AI.
The conference has highlighted innovations including Google Assistant, which can see and understand the world around you; Google Home, which turns its smart speaker into a phone; Google Photos; Virtual Reality (VR)/Augmented Reality (AR); and much more.
