eXo wins Digital Transformation Award with French Law Enforcement Agency
The third annual French Digital Transformation awards took place this week, and eXo won the award in the Collaboration category with one of its clients, the French Law Enforcement Agency (National Gendarmerie).
The awards are organized by Solution Numériques magazine to recognize innovative projects and companies championing digital transformation. After preselection by a jury, the winners were announced in a ceremony on 14 March in Paris.
The National Gendarmerie project connects more than 100,000 agents in 30 countries around the world via a collaboration platform.
The platform allows agents to share information and documents and create work groups and communities of interest. It brings together agents located in different time zones, allowing them to work together better.
Thus, the project aims at uniting the police force and reinforcing its engagement.
The platform represents one of the biggest professional social networks in Europe. It is part of a larger digital transformation initiative within the Gendarmerie aiming at modernizing one of the fundamental functions of the state and bringing it closer to the public.
In particular, the collaboration platform is available remotely through the tablets and smartphones agents use for their daily work in the field (driver’s license control, etc).
Benjamin Mestrallet, our CEO, is thrilled by this collaboration award: ‘We are proud that the Gendarmerie was chosen. The project allowed us to test our solution in challenging, demanding production conditions when it comes to the size of the network and security requirements.’
