eXo Platform 4.2.1 Enterprise released
We are pleased to announce the availability of eXo Platform 4.2.1, the first maintenance version of the Platform 4.2 series.
This release contains fixes for 46 defects of several kinds.
Customer issues
In each maintenance version, we provide fixes for issues reported by our customers through the support channel.
Improvements in the unified search
Search configurations were only being applied to authenticated users. From Platform 4.2.1, all search configurations are valid for any user.
Share video link on activity composer
The video link sharing function has been enhanced to support both full and short URL formats for YouTube, Vimeo, SlideShare and Dailymotion. It works with the Platform running on either HTTP or HTTPS.
Upgrade CometD from 3.0.3 to 3.0.5
CometD is used in Platform for several features: on-site notifications, calendar reminder popups and forum private message popups. This upgrade has around 50 bug fixes and enhancements to provide more robust CometD connections.
CometD in Enterprise Trial installers
All functions using CometD in Platform now work correctly in both the Trial and Enterprise instances.
There are also fixes for other defects that were reported by eXo teams.
