Our teams have ever been convinced that innovation and eco-responsibility go hand in hand. Moreover, open-source and its values of sustainability, openness and transparency are part of our DNA, and we focus on promoting them in our solution and service offer, as well as in our way of working.
We are now taking a further step in our eco-responsible approach with our own eXo beehive in partnership with “Les Écoruches”.
Just like bees, we believe in collaboration and collective action. In a hive, every bee plays a crucial role and contributes to the balance of the whole. It’s a collaborative and interconnected ecosystem, just like the digital workplace we build. But beyond this similarity between the tech world and nature, we want to take concrete steps to protect the environment, raise awareness about our planet’s fragility, and support local biodiversity.
“Les Écoruches” is a group of passionate beekeepers dedicated to helping corporate bees. Their goal? To take concrete action, such as setting up beehives locally, to protect bees and biodiversity and to raise awareness of the challenges of ecological transition.
Thanks to this partnership, our team has the chance to follow the evolution of our hive and even have our own honey!
Having our own beehive is much more than a simple gesture for us. It’s a natural extension of our engagement to more environmentally-friendly technology.
As the provider of an open-source digital workplace, we’re already taking action to reduce our own environmental footprint, and that of our users, by promoting sustainability, interoperability and the pooling of resources. With our hive, we now want to strengthen our role as an eco-responsible company in terms of technology and biodiversity.
An Egyptian proverb says that “The bee is small, but it produces great things”. This reminds us that by doing small actions, we can build a more sustainable world together!
Follow us on this new ecological and collaborative adventure. We’ll keep you informed of our bees’ activities throughout the seasons.
