Cartoon of the Week: Tomorrow’s laptops

This year Intel has attracted attention at Computex by revealing a prototype of a dual-screen laptop called Honeycomb Glacier. The concept shows what laptops could be like in two years.

Designed for gamers and very useful for designers, the laptop combines a primary 15.6-inch screen with a secondary 12.3-inch screen. The secondary screen has a hinge that lets it stand up on its own. It can therefore be raised to display information more easily.

New era of highly productive PCs

Intel and its partners rely on these machines to make life easier for users and improve their productivity. Gamers, for example, will be able to switch from one application to another by looking once at the secondary screen to exit a game and again at the main screen to return to that game.

Computer companies are supposed to improve their product and meet our needs, but to what extent is this beneficial to us? The quest for productivity and performance seems endless and we do not know what we are getting into.
