Cartoon of the week: A Samsung vertical TVs designed for millennial Generation
Samsung has unveiled this week the Sero, meaning “vertical” in Korean, its latest addition to Samsung’s TV range intended for mobile-friendly usage and designed for the millennial generation.
The new model is a 43-inch, has a minimalist rear design and pivots between horizontal and vertical orientations so it encourages the younger generations to project more of their smartphone stuff onto the TV by going vertical.
Samsung says the “‘Sero’ supports vertical screen optimized for mobile contents, so it can be used to view content on a full screen.”
Samsung came to understand that in order for it to stay competitive, it has to reach the millennial generation, a generation that has its own needs, preferences and that wants to be treated as individuals not just a demographic mass
While the Sero has a design for millenials in mind, its price tag isn’t that millennial friendly. The Vertical will be available in Korea for $1,623 by the end of this month.
Will millenials warm to this expanded flexibility? We’ll wait and see
