A date with Keanu Reeves: Who’s the lucky one?

During lockdown, we’ve heard many creative and funny stories of regular people and in some cases celebrities trying to get closer to their audience or raising money for a good cause.

Actor Keanu Reeves is among the celebrities supporting good causes and he has offered one lucky fan the opportunity to spend some quality time and chat with him one on one via Zoom during lockdown.

As we may expect, the call is not free nor cheap; The Matrix star has auctioned off a 15-minute Zoom chat with him to the highest bidder, with the money going to a children’s cancer charity. And it seems it’s quite a privilege to have a virtual date with the 55-year-old actor as he’s not usually a social media aficionado and is generally very private

So how much do you think a fan is willing to spend for a Zoom date with  Keanu Reeves?

Well, the virtual date was initially valued at $10,000 but as of Wednesday, the bidding was already up to $16,600, thanks to one anonymous bid.

Now I totally get what ‘time is money’ truly means.
