eXo Webinar

Abstract

eXo Platform 3.5, the User Experience Platform for Java, provides a solid enterprise-ready foundation for portal-based applications, with the collaboration, social and content features developers need to build modern, user-centric Java apps.

Join Tugdual Grall, CTO at eXo, for eXo University, a series of weekly webinars including panel discussions and educational sessions to help end-users and developers discover and work with eXo.

The next webinar in the series will be eXo Platform 101, an introduction to eXo Platform 3.5, which is presented every other week, alternating with more technical sessions with guest speakers.

With eXo Platform 101, attendees will get an overview of the product architecture and the presentation will include live demonstrations of sample apps built with the Platform. They will be introduced to several common use case scenarios:

  • Social Intranet: building a modern corporate intranet with activity streams, chat, group workspaces, calendars, and other collaboration spaces.
  • Web 2.0 Websites: using eXo Platform 3.5's powerful content management capabilities to develop portal-based websites.

eXo Webinar

Abstract

eXo Platform's strength relies on two characteristics that make it unique among portal and content management providers: the tight integration of portal, content management, social and collaboration features and a powerful built-in development environment.

This allows you to very easily integrate third-party applications - in the form of gadgets or portlets - within the context of your website or social intranet. And by leveraging eXo Platform’s APIs, your custom applications can take advantage of eXo services (such as content storage, or activity stream publication).

In this webinar, Tugdual Grall, CTO at eXo, will introduce the basics of Portlet and Gadget development, and demonstrate how to they can be integrated with eXo features.
